Drugovich outpaced Stroll, Bearman and Shwartzman were within a tenth of Magnussen and Sainz respectively in FP1. These kids want these drives! Williams should put Drugovich in the car instead of Sargent next year.

Max passing on the pit exit “shoulder” in FP2 is the move that is universally identified as asshoal behavior. Well done.

And George’s reaction is what every human being on the planet would do or wishes they would have done

Another Maxipad rule implemented... no overtaking in the pit exit. This is the 3rd Maxipad rule of
1. moving under braking
2. safety car restarts where you have to be fully behind the car in front of you
and now
3. no overtaking in the pit lane exit

To be fair, when he did it in Brazil it was explicitly allowed

It’s a wrap! I enjoyed the season, as uncompetitive as both championships were.

Well thank f{}ck thats over. What a dogshit season. I started watching F1 in 2008 and I can honestly say that was the worst season in my time as a fan. Hopefully next season is more competitive at the top or all the good the original Netflix series did to bring in new fans and raise interest will be over. What we'll be left with is the corporate america/ Vegas race bollocks, with none of the racing.

**I get that there are compelling stories in the mid pack and some of the racing was decent, but thats not really what we're after, is it? Watching this season has felt like being a Clippers fan in the mid 90s**

Definitely was one of the worst seasons ever. At least when Lewis/Mercedes won with a dominant car, Nico was actually competitive most of the season and even took a WDC off of Lewis.

I still watch the races but it's more out of habit instead of enjoyment.

It doesn't help that I genuinely dislike Max and Horner, but the absence of competition in the second car made nearly every race a foregone conclusion.

The warnings for Checo, Toto, and Vasseur handed out by the stewards are yet another confirmation that the current FIA president is a tightass f•ckwit. Between his need to control everything and Liberty's desire to squeeze every gotdam penny out of folks, I'm a little concerned about the immediate future of the sport.

Even in just the 4-5 years that I've been watching F1 in earnest, I can see a slide towards "the show" and away from the sport. DTS was great at bringing on new viewers, but I'm convinced that the need for ratings led to the ****** call in Abu Dhabi 2021 and the ridiculous glitz and glamour of Las Vegas 2023. I mean, they paid something like $215M just for the land to build the new paddock in LV, and it's probably one of the worst circuits of them all.

It was (finally) fun to see the mid-field competition for the drivers and constructors championships come to a head yesterday. But, yeah, other than that, this season was a total snoozefest. It's not even fun watching Max win because he's barely happy for himself after utterly dominating the field.

I disagree with this, I had very low expectations for the circuit, as did many, simply based on the looks of it, but the race was probably one of the better ones this season.

What made Vegas a good race was likely less about the track than it was about track temperature and tires. We will need to see more races there before we can say whether the track itself is any good. What we can say with 100% confidence is that they need to change the lighting gantries so they don't block the grandstands.
