Fit advice on this beautiful Caruso suit

Good morning,
I am looking for a formal business suit that is elegant but also contemporary. I have tried different RTW suits, among them I was able to get this beautiful Caruso for a very low price.
Although the fit isn’t terrible, there are certainly some problems on the back of the jacket and sleeves and in the back of the pants. I am not sure if this one is a size too big for me, but what usually happens if I size down in RTW is that my shoulders and chest are too big for the suit, with everything else being spot on.
I am aware the photos aren’t the best but I would like your opinion.
Photos:

The alterations I plan to do are the following: 1) shortening sleeves 2) add some waist suppression 3) clean the back of the jacket 4) clean the back of the pants 5) hem trousers.

I have some questions:
1) Do you believe the sizing is right?

2) Would you keep the suit and do the alterations or would you try something else?

Any constructive criticism is welcome.

A bit snug across he mid section?
My preference is a looser fit.
Otherwise looks fine.

Thank you for your answer. I have to say the suit is certainly not snug around the mid section. It rather feels a bit loose almost everywhere. To the point I was in fact questioning if keeping it or not.

Nice suit but I think there is some tidying up to be done across the shoulders and the trousers could drape better at the back but certainly worth having them fixed

Thank you for your opinion. I am certain I have in fact to clean the back of the jacket and the pants, as well as to add some waist suppression. But in the past I just did some basic alterations (hem pants, shorten sleeves) and for this reason I am unsure on how the suit can turn out after more “invasive” alterations.
