Yeah, it's great to hear that there's a lot of good feedback regarding Trend so far. I know I've mentioned in the past that I've been meaning to drop in myself and try them out but I guess I'm waiting for things in the economy to pick up a bit.

Interestingly, Wetnose had mentioned a sour experience with Don in this thread http://www.styleforum.net/showthread...=104594&page=5; I've asked him to elaborate but I guess he's busy. So far I've only spoken to Don over the phone and I have nothing but positive things to say.... I guess a meeting is now in order.

I was impressed by the fact that all the work is done on premises and bespoke suits cost an average of $1,100 - $1,300. I was a little freaked out by the bizarre glass art stuck all over the walls of his house/shop which, by the way, is deliberately unmarked (no signage at all). You will need to call for an appointment if you want to see him.

Unfortunately my budget only allows for MTM at this point so I ended up buying from another tailor. However, I may give him a try in a few years when I have the money (and the tolerance to deal with his eccentricity).

Another option is to go to the Just White Shirts store at 1991 Leslie St. just south of the 401. JWS does MTM with Jack Victor (fused) and several other brands (canvas) for about $600. Ask to speak to Tom.

I've ordered 15 custom shirts from JWS and they've all turned out extremely well. I ordered them while on sale and they came out at $100 per shirt. I've owned 6 Jack Victor suits in my early career and I found them much better than Hugo Boss.
