FILSON MESSENGER, which colorway? HELP!

OK. Now that Ive decided go with filson small carry on bag as my schoolbag...

which colorway? Dark tan or otter green? both look very tempting to me.

Tan, definitely tan. The green is just too dark and a little drab for my taste whereas the tan really gains character with use IMO.

Oh, and I had a green briefcase of theirs but I sold it after a while. Didn't care for the color too much and also didn't care for the briefcase design. I'm now thinking of either picking up this bag or the medium field bag.

I vote for green. I've got a similar camera bag from Billingham and that color works with all sorts of outfits.

I own the green messenger and it's great. I find it just as versatile as the khaki one would be.

I have the outfitter bag in tan, but I don't really care for the color; it's too yellow maybe. I was going to get the small carry on in green because it won't show stains as readily as the tan and also because the tan is sort standout-ish to me. I wanted something a little nore subdued.

On the other hand, I think I agree with DDML that the tan will match better with both browns and blacks. IDK for sure what I'm going to get.

At Context they sell Filson bags that, according to SAM113, have been rinsed and re-dyed by Jean Shop. I like the color of those bags much better than the stock colors (but they are much more expensive). I hope that with use and age my bags will look as good as the Jean Shop ones.

What colors? I always thought a charcoal or navy blue version of Filson bags would slay.
