I just recently moved to Chicago and have been looking for jobs in fashion/menswear without much luck. I am not asking for recommendations/connections (not that I wouldn't take them), but does anyone who is more familiar with the industry or city have information on any companies out here that specialize in fashion? Like fashion PR companies or a brand's corporate offices?

The only thing I really know of out here is a startup called Trunk Club, but that's about it. I would really appreciate anyone's knowledge on the subject. Thanks

Hello - what exactly are you looking to do? If you're looking for a retail - sales professional career - the menswear store(s) that I manage - Haberdash - is hiring right now. We aren't really looking for back-office staff, but we expanding quickly and opening a 4000 sq/ft store at the end of September at the Roosevelt Collection, and hiring for our State St stores as well. Brands are a mix of suiting/luxury sportswear and heritage level American work-wear brands with a focus on North American made goods.

I just recently joined Style Forum, but if you need anything else, let me know. I have a lot of connections around Chicago - I might be able to point you in the right direction. Let me know if you're interested, I can share my information if you want to learn more. Take care. - Sean

Hey,

I am actually familiar with that store! One of the cooler ones in Chicago, definitely. I actually have experience working in advertising and was hoping to do some sort of fashion marketing/pr, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of opportunities for that here that I can find. If you know of any places, I would greatly appreciate it.
