Hi, I’m pretty new to the suit world, and I had just gotten this supposed Brioni jacket from Ebay. I saw that the surgeon cuffs actually aren’t functional even though there seemed to be button holes for them, so I’m a little worried it’s a fake.

The cuffs are most likely done by a tailor after the suit was purchased, not by Brioni themselves. With that said, non functional buttonholes are perfectly acceptable as well. So this would not be a reason to rule the jacket as a fake

it is old brioni but legit, don't worry

if i see correct as your pic is too ‘macro’, the cuff button hole is/was the usual style that brioni makes

Hello
Can anyone give an opinion on this. I saw this Sawyer on 2nd hand for 90 euros. Is this the real deal or a fake? It says made in Switzerland.!
Thanks

Before the internet made people obsessed with functioning buttonholes, it was more common to make these “shamholes“ which looked like functioning butttonholes but could be easily altered. These were made by hand in the matching thread and probably done at the factory. The coat is legit.

Hello! New here. My name is Oliver, I am 27 years old and live in Copenhagen, Denmark. I have bought this Hermes tie at a local vintage retailer in the city center. Can someone here help me authenticate it? It all looks correct to me, however I am slightly unsure about the backside of the broad tip (see last img). All help is greatly appreciated!

Thank you very much! Do you have any thoughts on the backside of the broad tip? I’ve heard that the right edge should slightly overlap the left, but I cannot tell if this is the case. The edge on the left side seems slightly raised, but it is very hard to tell. Anyway, thank you for your reply! 🙏
