Hi Guys,

Any advice on a fabric for a travelling suit?

I was thinking something like:
(Finmeresco 4ply vs Caccioppoli vs Fox Brothers)

Weight of the fabric would be around 13oz so that I can use it in the tropics where I am based at.

Any help or suggestions apart from the fabrics mentioned above would be appreciated as well.

Thanks!

I have a 4 ply finmeresco suit and imo it's too hot for the tropics. I'd go with the 8/9 oz high twist Minnis fresco or something similar from VBC, Halstead, etc.

Go with the Minnis frescos mentioned above or else the Harrison's Frontier boot may be good as it is full of high-twist options. Not as open a weave as frescos.

Why is mohair 'the' fabric of choice? Wrinkle-resistant or something?

Around 13/14 oz - VBC 4 ply (Not sure if its still available but now in Drapers Ascot book)
9/10 oz - Minnis Fresco
Cheaper option 9/10oz - Dugdale New Fine Worsted
