Essential beachwear?

I'm going to be in Hawaii for a week. I've never been to a tropical place before, and the only swimsuit I have is the lycra one I use for triathlons. What, in your mind, is essential beachwear for a tropical vacation?

I'm thinking:

White Linen Pants, like this: http://www.islandimporter.com/WhiteL...dv-223-25.html
Wifebeater tank top
Teva's for recreation
Flipflops for the beach
Sunglasses

I'm going to recommend Parke & Ronen for swimwear: http://www.parkeandronen.com/product_list.asp?code=3 And they're having a 50% off sale right now. Which swimwear you buy depends on personal preference, of course. If you do triathlons, you could probably grab a pair of the snap trunks and turn some (hopefully female) heads. I'm expecting a couple items from them any day now.

who cares.. wear whatever the hell you'd normally wear. I'll shoot myself if I ever sthink that I have to buy sunglasses, flip flops, and some thin linen pair of pants to go to the beach. It's more like beachwear conformity.
