@notwithit
 meant to write you back on this... I like this idea. Something along the lines of this: (without the douche-y burnishing)

It's certainly easy to do.. my factory could last the combat boot onto a Margom sole without a problem. Would lower the price a bit too, maybe to $275. But we'd lose the ability to resole them, and I know that's important for some guys. I'd love to hear the thoughts of anyone who wants to chime in.
This is a cool idea. Not my thing but I'm way out of step on the streetwear tip so disregard.

Photo was apropos, though, to an experience today. I was at a high-end dept. store in SF, standing near a table of Achilles Lows and 2 fellow customers commented that my EP trainers had nicer leather and "looked dope."

I wrote "epauletnewyork.com" on an old reciept and handed it to them.

EFF green Rudy cords and Individualized shirt. Take note that my son cleaned up his Lego.

Great fit, but OH NO no Legos? That's what I come to this thread for!

@applky for you, I'd say Teba 37 definitely.

Thanks! Now I just have to figure out the color situation. By the way, is the Blue Danube fabric a canvas? Olive and Walnut seem like twills for sure. Just zooming in on that photo and noticing a difference between the three.

One other thought on the combat trainer sole - Margom makes a ripple sole and a lug sole, either of which could look pretty rad in this context (probably a little pricier and/or more difficult to source than their standard sole). Ripple:

I have a pair of those common projects and they are quite possibly my favorite pair of shoes...though they are falling apart after 6+ years.

Whoa I'm so down for those. Great idea! Either ripple or lug for sure, looks great. Would love these in some sort of basass leather too.
Any chance we can do a quick preorder on a couple leathers and have these for summer? Maybe some sort of horse?
Demanding I know, I'm sorry, thanks for all you do on here to continue bringing us the goods and being open to new ideas.

The off-black horse that was used for the chelseas with a black sole would be killer in this
