Hello everyone!

I'm having some trouble deciding between rivets and driggs, so I was hoping those with both/either could help answer a few questions. I recently purchased a rivet, but I was going to return it for one size larger. Now I can't decide whether I'd prefer the rivet or the driggs. I'm looking for a cotton pant that I can wear casually, but also dress up a with a sport coat for business casual. From what I've read on here and on EP website, assuming you're wearing your pants where they are suppose to be for their rise, the rivet chinos have a lower rise (low midrise) and more room in the thigh/seat than the driggs which has a textbook midrise and slimmer thigh/seat. Anyways,I called EP today to ask about the two pants and the salesperson told me that he felt the driggs were roomier and that they fell lower than the rivet on his waist. So, basically the opposite of the measurements on the website.

Anyways, I was wondering where these pants actually rest and how they fit. I realize given different heights two people with the the same waist can have different anatomical rises, so I'm mostly looking for a ballpark. I'm a 5 11 athletic build male 165lb with 33 inch waist.

Lastly, given the fabric and rise, which would you consider better for serving both the casual and business casual world.

Thanks

@scorpwk I'm pretty close to you in height/weight, 5'10, 166-168. I wear a 33 in rivets and a 32 in driggs. I have a longer torso versus legs, and find that the cuts of both pants seem to fall in a similar area, with the driggs maybe just a touch lower. Keep in mind the recently updated rivet has a higher rise. You may try ordering one of each just to try them out.

I only have drugs in the duck canvas right now, and those are more casual of a material, but can look dressy with the right shirt/coat imo. The rivets I have vary from wool to cotton but even the cotton ones dress up really well with the tapered leg.

Epaulet tan moleskin Walt trousers, probably one of my all-time favorites.

For some reason, this fit looks like one of your best. It's either the cuffs or the jacket length that helps balance the top and bottom lengths out.

I also am long and have long legs - balance, waist buttoning point/trouser rise, etc. are all things that I have a tough time with.

Normally Mike's product shots are right on the money. However, he is way underselling the cromo trainers! The depth on these are insane in person

Thanks.

Yeah, during the last EFF event Mike mentioned on here that there wasn't enough material for pants but there was for shorts. I jumped on them as the material is lightweight and have to say I like a light wool dressier short like that. I think Mike may have scored a pair for himself as well
