Tried on a large work shirt from this season and it was super long, even in the sleeve
but looking at the measurements of the medium it seems short…

I'll second that- FW/12 fit me the best. FW/13 has been driving me nuts. I am an XS but the Bedford was too small for me this season but I fit perfect in the Pea Coat Small. Given that the one Seattle store (Jack Straw) doesn't ever carry XS and limited Smalls even, it's frustrating. Measurements online are one thing but it's hardly ideal- I really prefer to see and try on. If I only didn't love EG so much...

It's pretty thin. You should be fine layering it under a tts jacket
