Very nice, however I think if I were to ever get a Shannon it would be all calf. Somehow the suede shaft on the Shannon isn't is much to my liking as it is on the Galway.

Just noticed the Alderley has 1 less eyelet and 1 less speedhook; I assume this makes them shorter than the Shannon and Galway?

The "gold" on the Alderley appears toned down from some other models with it...looks nice. The broguing and maybe more burnishing helps.

Funny what things stand out after trying many shoes...after having boots with low heel cups (Galway) and some with stiffeners too high, the Alderley heel design looks perfect.
