These are different and better than the regular RLPL Barksdale pattern, which had a skin-stitched split toe, but lacked the pig bristle pie crust stitch around the vamp and toe. This pair resembles EG’s Sloane, probably on a 100 or 101 last. These look like RLPL Barksdale which were made by Edward Green. But the soles on these don’t look like original or have otherwise been heavily used.
EG don’t touch shoes resoled anywhere but the original EG factory. While the Blake resole job on this pair is a travesty. I would not hesitate to purchase and send to the EG factory for refurb/resole. The result will be excellent second hand shoes for a low price compared to new. Cheers.
In my experience, that is not accurate.EG don’t touch shoes resoled anywhere but the original EG factory. Sad.

I would definitely call EG to confirm what they are and are not willing to do.
Nevertheless, there are third party shoe repair shops that can do the job as well.
I have two pairs of these from EG directly. They are called “ Winchelsea” and are the 100 lastHello, is this pair made by EG ?

The Winchelsea is slightly different, as it has stitching (sometimes called foxing) along either sides of the heel. Those are another excellent variation on the skin stitched loafer theme, which also includes the Buxton and Harrow, etc. They even do butterfly versions with the pie crust and strapless loafers too.I have two pairs of these from EG directly.
