Dissecting a Hickey-Freeman Suit Jacket - What's Inside?

If I can get 5 people to PayPal me $1 each, then for the princely sum of $5 I will sacrifice this Hickey-Freeman suit jacket. I will literally dissect it, and take lots of pictures along the way... Disclaimer -- I'm not too familiar with jacket construction, so it will be a little bit like a first year med student performing his first autopsy - by himself and with no guidance, but hopefully some good will come out of this. If you're interested in supporting this noble cause, my paypal is [email protected]. If $1 is too much for you to handle at the present time, I'll gladly accept donations in fractions of a dollar, up to and including 1/100. Thank you in advance for your support. Should you wish to be publicly thanked for your benevolence, kindly say so along with your payment; otherwise, all benefactor information will be kept strictly confidential.

Assembling my scrubs for the dissection -- which t-shirt is more appropriate to wear during the clothing autopsy?

Too late, good sir! This poor virgin (from my pre-SF days) must be sacrificed, as she has already been sponsored by a very generous benefactor (I shall of course honor his/her request to remain anonymous) who kindly footed the entire $5!!!

Say a prayer for the HF; the time has come to once again appease the Clothing Gods...

Ouch...I was going to say don't bother, it looks a few years old and may not reveal all that much great data.

How old is the piece?
And how much do you wear it?

But hey, this coming from a guy who sliced a perfectly good Pal Zileri

I bought it about three years ago... don't wear it too often anymore since I primarily wear my Oxxfords and Canalis and BB Golden Fleeces... It's definitely not an Anderson & Sheppard or a Poole or an Oxxford (hence, I elected to go with the "I've seen better" t-shirt), but... hopefully dissecting a lesser brand will nevertheless yield some insight... And the operation is under way...

Rest assured, King Label, the Clothing Gods have been appeased (I only regret that I have but one suit jacket to give for my forum). Now if anybody wants to dissect a pair of Edward Greens to appease the Shoe Fairy, I'll gladly contribute a dollar....
