Some clothing retailers are doing well:

“Costco is now seeing clothing and footwear account for $7 billion in sales a year. That secures its place as the eighth most profitable retailer of clothing in the United States! Costco is seeing more annual profit from clothing than big names like Neiman Marcus and Old Navy”
I'm not surprised. They are a well-run org. If they get into something, they do it well. I believe that they are the largest wine retailer now as well.

@clee1982 @LA Guy

Didn't know y'all shop at Costco for clothes!
I occasionally do. I have a western fleece lined overshirt from them that's quite nice. I also have their tees and socks. I would probably buy more, but they tend to cater to the average American physique which is usually too broad and short for me.

I'm in NYC, so no Costco membership for me (also for family of 3, Costco is kind just a waste)

edit: I did bought a ton of those Costco plastic wrap roll at one point, think I'm the 3rd roll after 10 years...

You'd be surprised. Although unless you are near one of the Costcos in NYC they are a pain to get to and from.

I wish my cheapness allowed me to believe that....

Not sure why, the closest Costco for me is in Astoria (Long Island City) but for whatever reason it is way inferior compare to Rego Park Costco, so I just couldn't be bothered.

Also as far fruit goes Whole Food and Wegman are way better so I just stick to that (which I think might be different for the burbs as my friends in CT swear by Costco).

Yeah. My local Costco blows away our Whole Foods.

Going to Pitti Uomo in just over a week for the first time with a friend who invited me along - any tips for Pitti / Florence more generally?

I had a Costco membership for Years
It was very useful because i was in industry City on 36th then 42st street so Cosco was a next or or a 5 minute walk. I see nothing clot Gigwise except maybe socks that id recommend to buy. that being said the Cosco customer isn't as much concerned about aesthetics as i do
My new favorite is actually Walmart, that rivals Amazon in terms of deals and shipping
Walmart doesn't require a membership and does not force you to purchase more than you need

What do you like to do on vacations, typically?

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
