Anyone here preorder the new game? I JUST DID **** YEAH.
Haven't preordered yet but definitely will.
I sunk a pretty substantial amount of time into the beta and am looking forward to the full release.
Yeah Im going to have to build a desktop for this game. I used to be versed in computer hardware back in early high school but have since lost interest in computer games and performance desktops.
That being said I just saw news headlines about this new graphics card by nvidia. I think it's called the 660 gx or something like that but it seems to have received critical acclaim for its performance.
This should be fun
Care to give us your thoughts? I'd love to hear about the new classes, general gameplay, the AH (even though no real $ being used yet), and whatever else you can think of.
No I haven't played the beta. I'm sure the pc I'd build would be overkill for the game(s) I'd be playing but it's cool to see that you don't have to spend much money to build a powerhouse. The last computer I built cost around 4.5 grand 6 years ago.
With a budget of 1500 it seems you can build a beast of a computer now, which is pretty cool.
Technology
Last summer, I built an AMD 555 powered eyefinity rig with 3 monitors (one was an old one, but two were brand new) for ~800 total. If you go intel, you'll be spending a little more, but $1500 will definitely buy you a hell of a machine.
I completely lost touch of computer hardware: how much would it cost to have an amazingly quiet, high performance machine? I'm really keen on noise because my last computer was loud as ****.
Also, how much ram do people need these days? 6 gigs?
The fact that you can have one character of each class fulfilling whatever build you like means there's not going to be a hell cow/baal/whatever run to constantly grind up; I think questing will become more the norm.
