Received my Semi Dress Horsehide boots this morning from Bakers. Came out really good I think. First pair of Whites and the fit worked out great. It'll take a little getting used to the arch-ease but I'm sure it'll break in well.

They look great! (I've increasingly become a fan of brass eyelets with black leather, and this confirms it.)

Thanks @linafelt The brass just gives them a little pop/contrast I think works well. I have something a little similar coming from Clinch boots soon cause I like the look a lot!

My god, man, how could you "ditch" those?

They're beautiful.
Wasn't what I was after, didn't fit my wardrobe and it turns out I hate CXL. These are edited photos remember. See all those different colors panels on each pair...? Yeah on the foot, real life they looked like patch work clown shoes. In fact the multi-color and round toe (before unstructured was an option) had my wife actually calling them my clown shoes. AND I had to practically give these away...it hurt...both emotionally and financially.

Hey guys, can anyone give an idea on the common turn around from once Baker’s received your tracings to them gettin back? I’m itching to get this ball rolling. Baker’s has had my measurements and tracings for just about a week now, and I don’t want to be pestering them. Can anyone give me an idea?

Thanks.

Recently, Baker’s to contact me was three or four weeks for me.

They may be pretty busy considering fire season is looming with guys gearing up.

I'm pretty sure there's a binary boot classification scheme for people who don't like boots: 1) clown shoes or 2) euro-effete.
She likes boots just fine, she didn't care for these. Try getting yourself a wife and see how well you do with insulating yourself from their opinion.

I am 4 weeks out on a pair otto derbys. I am kinda of taking a flyer on this pair as there are not many pictures of them online. These were recommended over the similar Wesco's. Should be interesting.

I do see what you are talking about after looking at the pictures you posted. I have a pair of natural CXL (boot on the right) that has gotten much darker since this picture was taken last Dec. I am glad that mine are aging in a uniform manner, opposed to panel by panel.
