I swore I would never get a pair of boots with the soft toe. This single post has changed my opinion. Very nice!

I was also not expecting them to come out so cleanly! Of course, time will tell if this was a good decision, but if the toe collapses like some old WW2 Boondockers I won't be complaining... White's and Baker's did a bang up job!

Those are stunning! The soft toe is so good on the MP, something I’ll have to consider. How long was your wait after you received your confirmation?

I probably should have noted (or should edit my post) to include that I don't think that White's does the soft toe willingly, I have seen multiple reports (reddit reviews and posts, probably some here as well) regarding this option not being available. Kyle was able to push the option through, so it may be good to inquire!

My wait was about 5 weeks after I paid my order, so definitely within the average if not the average wait time.

^I am increasingly liking brass eyelets with black leather..

I like how the brass pops, adding a more work-wear oriented look to an otherwise mostly hybrid but fashion-leaning style. I think it's really comes down to the richness of the Black Dress though.

Well I'm gonna keep them. They fit comfortably and look great imo. The fact that they seem to be alleviating my Achilles pain is a bonus.

Simple but superb Semi-Dress! The Black Smooth is almost indestructible, gives the boots a purposeful, no-nonsense look and will wear beautifully.

Indeed. It’s a thick, robust leather and I’m not afraid of babying it or needing to be careful in them. These things are tanks.

I'm gonna go take a peek at Ultrasound Boots' showroom today, with the forum member's (rio?) recent bad experience with them fresh in the memory; wish me luck.

Got my ship notice on Friday the 28th, so just under 5 weeks total from processing to shipped. The boots are probably on a plane somewhere over the Pacific, so hopefully I'll get them before the end of the week. Unfortunately the insane heat wave we're having here looks like it's going to keep on trucking for a few more weeks, so the boots probably won't get a lot of wear for a while.

Very excited!

Okay that turned out the opposite of exciting to say the least but like a trooper I'm back to report:

The place was closed with a "for rent" placard on the door, no one answered the doorbell and generally speaking, no signs of life could be detected. That together with the fact that my messages and emails to them have gone unanswered for a while now would seem to suggest that this company might be going belly-up; shame if so as it's a big local market here in HK.

Those of you with extensive experience with SD, is there a build option to increase the arch support? I prefer the look of the 55 last, but the 4811 has a more prominent arch to my feet. A year of heavy use in a pair of SD brown dress and the arch is not as noticeable. Thinking about a double midsole.

I may be wrong but I think if you add 1 lift (1/4”) to the heel, it increases the arch support.
