Someone who knows how just needs to make a tab in the Google doc I guess. Seems we may have 3 already.

The lasts are different between Henley and Harvard/Boston. The difference between Harvard and Boston is that Harvard is unlined

Who's in for a riff on this, with speedhooks?

I like the cap style and the leather. Sole and exact eyelets are open.

Love the Coniston! I like the Ridgeway sole and welt on this version, as well as the eyelets - though I would also switch them to 4+4 hooks/eyes…

If I’m being honest though, I think that Coniston makeup would be even more amazing in the green roughout suede and stitching like below:

Any of you know who is in charge of contacting C&J about the order?

For the Brown Shell Galway 2 order, the quoted price is £950 (£791.67 ex-vat). I would like the group to align on the outsole. '
The majority is for double leather, so hopefully that is not a deal breaker for those that preferred Dainite. If it's a no go for you on double leather, the cost of replacing the soles with Dainite is roughly $150 bucks and probably another month or so of time. It's not ideal, but I think given the time to gather another group, it's a better option than not having the boots at all (I think the last group for this make up was in 2020 and also on double leather). Our point of contact is Ms. Alex Vigouroux. Please email Alex at [email protected] and title the email GMTO Brown Shell Cordovan Galway 2. She has asked that we provide the following in the initial email:
  • Name and Styleforum username
  • UK shoe size
  • Shipping and billing address
  • Phone number
  • Whether you want the shoes to be posted or wish to collect in store.
Finally, you will need to call into the store to give your credit card information or schedule a time for her to call you to collect your payment information. Let me know if you have any questions or comments. Let's get this GMTO closed gents!

Sent info to Alex.

Once everyone else sends their info Alex is going to contact us for payment.

For what it's worth, I'm fine with double leather sole.

I'm the 2nd signed up on this GMTO and I prefer dainite only because double leather is too stiff for me...
Now I see there are 2 people prefer dainite, 2 prefer double leather, 2 for either dainite or double leather. Still seems even.
GMTO for me is to save some cost but if paying extra 150 for resole...

Any chance we can still go for dainite?

I'm nr 6 which doesn't show up on that overview and I put Dinite as well as I live in a very wet country... So we are 4 for Dinite, one has no preference and one double sole.

They really can't accommodate which sole they stitch to the shoe without a mark-up?

I don't think they will accommodate, but please find out for us. As I see it, there is 2 for dainite, 3 for double leather and 1 undecided (though @Jax is ok with double leather).

Oh I looked at the wrong MTO up there. I'll update it here. 2 Dinites, 3 leather soles and 1undecided. Jax, any input?

I will be honest. If I had to choose I'd pick Dainite as that's what I prefer on C&J and I just did the Dundee GMTO that had double leather. So if I *have* to choose my preference I will go Dainite. I only don't care because I just want the GMTO to go through. I also don't want to pay any more than I already am so whichever option gets me no extra cost I'm choosing.
