I do have pics of my wife in there but discretion and the fact that I have slowed my drinking down keeps them safely in my camera.

That bathroom lacks humanity.

It's a ******* bathroom. It's supposed to be a utilitarian space of water in - you - water out. It doesn't need humanity whatever the **** that is. But taking a singular stone and covering everything elevates the space design-wise.

That bathroom lacks humanity. Danes...
Absolutely not. Gawd forbid.

That bathroom is very nice as it is, perfectly fine. Besides, the Danes are very humane.

This isn't some motel in Volgograd or Minsk, for cryin' out loud. Just imagine...

I like marble bathrooms. Here's a question: for flooring or in shower basins, is it too slippery as large tiles or slabs? (vs. smaller tiles with grout)

p.s. is it ok to ask how-to and reco questions in this thread?

Not too slippery in my experience, having had marble in our bathrooms for decades. The sealer seems to act as a "grip" in some ways.

If further grip is a concern, as in shower floors, honed or micro-grooved finishes provide complete support. In my experience, however, even large fully polished and sealed marble slabs are more secure and grip better than say tub porcelain does. Porcelain tiles can be pretty slick too, and grout is a drag.

Maybe lefty knows what specific marble that is in the Nobis. It sure is beautiful, and looks beautifully installed as well. The style of that door is really at odds with the rest of the aesthetic though. I would have thought a plain slab door, in that context.

Put yourself into that bathtub and exhibit the whole bathroom at the next Art-Basel. You will be a hit.

P.S. It is not a bathroom , it is pretentious wash station to woo tourists.

Not slippery at all. In this case, the entire back half was a shower with the drain running along the far wall and I never had a problem in the wet or dry.

I've lived with many marble floors in living spaces and never had an issue with slipping. Socks could change that but I was always in barefooted.

I would say ask.

No idea on type of marble. Never really thought about the door to be honest. Good point though.

That sofa is not bad at all, color too. Dusty blue would be nice too.

Speaking of bathrooms, has anyone experience with Norm Architects products? They make some nice looking sinks and tubs... and furniture.

We don't have any seating from Norm CPH so I can't comment on their preference for depth, softness etc... which is important for sofas. But we have the Sten lamp in our house's little Scandinavian dining area and it's very well made. We picked it over an Arco and zero regrets there.

I'm pretty sure that table is the T12 from Hay. I was planning to get the same one but in black with a linoleum top to use as a desk, as they initially offered it in a smaller size as well. It was gone when I needed it, so I had to go with something else (which turned out to be a much better fit for a desk), but the T12 is a nice table.

Yes that's the T12. And the String system I mentioned the other day, that replaced a massive sideboard that was there when we bought the house

We have a pair of lounge chairs and a coffee table from Norm Architects on our front porch. I've been pleased with the quality and durability. It's nicely designed stuff at a reasonable price point.

is muuto's furniture quality on par with hay?

Generally, I find those brands to be fairly similar, but I think there is a little more consistency with Muuto. There are a few Hay pieces that are of pretty middling quality, but they are also priced accordingly.
