Small update, first off I just wanted to share that a photo of mine got selected for one of the largest art exhibitions in Sweden, called Vårsalongen (eng: Spring Salon) 2024, so if anyone happens to visit Stockholm from Feb 9 - April 21 you can see it in person if you'd like.

And related to the photo above, we had a similar fog again yesterday so decided to recreate the composition a second time, and since the photography thread is dead and I liked the result you guys get this version too.

Second, I've started what I think will be a new series of drawings.

With "Animal Situations" the focus was largely on the highlights left by the unblemished parts of the white paper, which I think came across pretty well on the scans I shared here. But a second almost as important aspect that you unfortunately only really get when seeing them in person, is the texture/sheen/depth you get when working with layers upon layers of "narrow" wax-based paint, whether it's pencils and crayons.

So for this new series, that's the main focus and end goal, trying to work in a more experimental and less pre-determined manner, resulting in visually and physically saturated "surfaces" of sorts.
These first two are obviously very dark, which I think was a subconscious contrast to the light in "Animal Situations", but that's likely to also vary as the same saturation and coverage could just as well be achieved with colorful results.

Anyway enough rambling, here are the two pieces I have so far and if you don't like em at all that's totally fine too. The first one is 390x270mm and the second one is 420x297mm. Black marker and color crayons on white paper.

Lastly, I'm happy to share that I've put together a website/portfolio/webshop to document and showcase my work in design, art and photography. Feel free to take a look around and if you have any feedback/input/suggestions for changes or improvements to it, do feel free to DM me.

Note: There's some wonky formatting with the way my photos are shown on desktop vs phone that I still need to fix, and the shop isn't finalized so you can't actually order anything yet, but I'm hoping to have all that sorted by the end of next week.

I've fixed all the formatting I could find, so the website should hopefully look pretty damn good regardless if you're on phone or desktop. The webshop is also active and functional, so if anyone feels like ordering a print that's doable now :thumbs-up:

Okay last post for a while, promise.

First off, two new larger paintings/drawings, Cover 4 and Figures 1 (both 500x650mm).

Second, I made some business cards for my website with a "framed" mini-version of the exhibition photo on the back. And a business card case out of wood to store and carry them.

And third and last, I'm doing a 20% discount until Feb 12th on all regular prints in my webshop.
Code is THANKYOU20, and if you're reading this later than the 12th I'll keep a permanent SF10 code active for people on here 😊

New fixture in my library/office. Was a bit worried it might be too "dentist's surgery" but now that it's installed I like it. Designer is Stephan Gulassa and the series is intended as a homage to Alexander Calder's mobiles.

Luckily, Georgia still allows P0rnhub, so you have a reason to use your "library/office" regularly.

@lefty Did you post an interior of the cabin at one point?

Those all look great, btw. Where in Mexico?
