That looks like an art student had a stroke trying to copy Percival Lafer's aesthetic for an office chair.

Just tell people it's a Basquiat.

The no-asscrack one might be more your speed.

The Eames lounge is great. One example I saw which I really thought was fantastic was in dark blue all grain and palisander.

That sounds great.

Always had a thing for the cream version. Don’t know how practical it would be though.

I like the cream, but I'd never buy it. I actually considered the white ash version, but I'd want it with the espresso leather which they don't offer.

I’d like to point out that I proposed the idea of a tweed-upholstered Eames lounge chair on these forums over a decade ago.

Just to add another data point on discounts. I was in DWR last week and when I inquired about an item I did not see on the floor the sales associate told me that if I ended up purchasing I would “obviously” get a discount off sticker, “At least 20%.” He said it so nonchalantly as if it was a given. That was without haggling in the slightest

The only people who don’t believe in 20-50% discounts on high-end modern furniture are people who have never bought any. Or got tragically, cluelessly ripped off.

I’ve never done worse than 40% and have done as well as 60%+. All from authorized dealers.
