Something cosy for the cold snap we’re having in London. I’ve had this for well over a decade - tightly knit and dense, it weighs over 2lb and never seems to pill…

My new Submariner from Private White in Ivory cashmere has arrived.

View attachment 2313617

3/S size, 53cm pit to pit.
We need a rainbow shot with all the colors you have of this model!

Beautiful knit as always. Was this the last colour you were missing? ; )
Also, is the pit-to-pit consistent with your other Submariners? Their website suggests 50cm.
That sizing did catch me off-guard, mine (size 4, unwashed, worn probably 3-4 times) has 54cm pit-to-pit, 53cm sounds really big for size 3. Then again this model is rather "stretchy" even compared to some other knitwear I have from other makers.

By contrast I have a 52cm pit-to-pit cable crewneck from The Armoury (made by Lockie I'm guessing) that feels more snug than even some 51cm pit-to-pit knitwear I have from Colhay's.

No, I don't have the whole collection: in particular, I regret having missed out on this great red/orange shade.

Dear friends, by popular demand I will post a comprehensive shot of the whole P.W. Submariner collection.

Curiously, the roll/turtleneck sweater is a style I rediscovered only recently (having worn it as a boy a few decades ago). I find it very practicable and versatile, as it goes well with casual as well as with more classic wear, like a sport coat or even a suit.

What about the coming Fall?

If they dare not to make it, we will all "bombard" them with continuous calls, emails, etc!

Best,

Dimitris

Thank you, but I should better hope they wouldn't reissue it, as I slowly have no more storing room.

Jokes aside, I'm really happy with the colours proposed by far, just another reason for having purchased so many.

They will hardly offer the same shades again, but I certainly won't fail to find other ones worth a buy. ;)

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
