Wonderful way to wear a cashmere jumper as a scarf, a type of layering that is quite aesthetically pleasing :)

Heading home after work, the métro is crowded and overheated. Why not drape the knit over your shoulders to create visual interest?

I think it looks better the traditional way.

In our line of work, the past 2 weeks had some nonEU garments but also from Ede and Ravenscroft heavy weight (1.32kg) cashmere and also medium weight. Good enough, the cut and fit is towards WL and the price is well deserved. From all i think the polo prices segment are the best
Also New and Lingwood have some well rounded made by JoE garments

I have had my eye on this cucinelli cashmere cardigan all season and finally pulled the trigger in the sale.

The details are stunning and weight and quality of the cashmere is exceptional. My only thoughts are is this too long / big for me and will cashmere of this type of weight give over time? I feel I'm in the middle of 2 sizes and might go for a size down if it will stretch a bit. Any advice, appreciated thank you.

It doesn't look oversized to me, it looks correct in the shoulders and chest. It seems just a bit too long, but it's a style designed to be worn pretty loose. In the end, it's much a matter of personal preference: I like my shawl cardigans rather fitted, so I usually size down.

Agree with DorianGreen. Sizing looks correct for a shawl cardigan, but the length of this piece would potentially bother me. I do think you could try a size down as there certainly is some natural stretch in cashmere as the fibres loosen up. Just keep an eye on proportions though as there should be a natural drape across the lower back with a shawl cardigan as opposed to suppression at the waist, but fit preference is quite personal in any event.

Thank you for the useful feedback. After a number of try's at home I agree it’s the length that is the issue and will bother me too so i will most likely be returning it.

Such a shame it’s too long, the pattern is beautiful

This has just arrived , berk cashmere. They have sent me me the 2ply rather than the 1ply I ordered ( 2ply has saddle shoulders which I don’t like so it will be going back) I have taken a picture of the tags of the berk next to the William lockie made 2ply I have ….

If you look at their overall offering l, it’s almost completely just Lockie’s stock service with a Berk tag.

I am fine with that to be fair as I have a good few lockies but thought I would try a navy in the bare finish as it would be a jumper that I would be wearing lots but I can’t say I notice the difference unless I am missing something

Hey maybe I am missing something and further down the line it would
Be somehow better , but when I touch it next to a new unworn lockie that I have there is no noticeable difference

Anyone knows where I can get something like this cardigan from Colhay's? I think this kind of trim around the collar is more common in tennis/cricket v-neck sweaters than cardigans?

Thinking about that one I linked, but usually I like my knitwear a bit loose (size 42) and it's out of stock. Maybe I can try 40, or find something else.
