Just ordered this Drumohr cashmere turtleneck in EU48. It looks so nicely chunky. According to the measurements, 53cm chest width, it should fit well. I will report on arriving.

Forgot to ask, where did you buy this one?

Also looking for ideas for thin, off white/ecru/ivory turtleneck to be worn under a sport coat, in case anyone has recommendations.

I can't recommend the Ikiji Turtleneck from No Man Walks Alone enough. I have one in every color. Unfortunately, it looks like they are sold out in ecru.

Do you conveniently have some pictures of them handy? Especially curious to see the neck part.

John Smedley is a great classic for fine knit in merino wool.

You can also consider a rollneck in cashmere and silk by Luca Faloni.

@DorianGreen I'll look into the Smedley one, actually not super keen on the slightly shiny sheen of the cashmere silk from Luca Faloni.

@ppk do you find the neck more on the snug side or the looser side? From my experience I like snug turtlenecks more, if the neck is a bit loose, when I wear a sport coat, it will push the turtleneck forward and result in some gaping up front.

It's not as tight as a submariner but it is snug. It doesn't gape on me.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
