My fiancée's mother had a Maserati for a couple years in the early 2010s. It was plagued with issues to the point where she just sold it when she was trading in her Range Rover for the new model year because she couldn't drive it on a whim; every time she turned it on it had some problem or another

Maserati shot themselves in the foot by pricing their cars very very wrong. Now one can get enormous discounts at the dealer and noone wants them . They have new stocks from 2015 on sale. Soon one will be able to get 599 lease , I can see that time is near.

Besides the reliability issues, Masers are just mediocre in almost every way. They do sound nice, though

I'm no aficionado, but Maseratis are nice to drive. I was considering a Tesla a year or two ago but one of the neighbours got a Tesla S in white, and it just looked like an old Ford Focus from the front. And I do literally smile sometimes when I hear the QP ignition. Superficial yes. Would I get better value and performance in various BMW/Audi/ MBs etc? Yes, but I'm a sucker for the look of the QP (and GT).

Morning gents

Thought id share my recent acquisition.

Year 2000 Honda S2000. Completely stock, one owner.
4,650 kms (2,800 miles) on the clock.

This is my second S2000 after 8 years without one.

Such a well rounded car for the money.

That's a funny looking miata...

What are your plans for it? Drive it in good health. I've always wanted to take one for a spin...

Wife's car recently had the trunk, 3rd brake light, and license plate lamp stop working. Seems to be a common problem with how MB routes the wire along the trunk hinge. After pulling a ton of plastic clips and examining the wire, the culprit was a severed wire. A quick fix with some new wire and I saved myself, according to some forums, $250-$300 at the dealership.

I like those kinds of stories, and have a similar one. Was horrified recently to discover a sizeable bump (like a reverse dent) in my rear bumper next to the license plate frame. Had visions of needing a new bumper.

After removing the plate frame and reaching behind (hehe), I discovered that the cord for the tow hook cover got wedged where it didn't belong and it was good as new when I popped it out. Whew

Well, finally hit the goal I had set out to hit when I started this project. Car's sitting at 230hp now.

Also, I'd love to drive a stook, but I have less into my car right now than most of them worth buying and I have a way more usable powerband.

It's freaking insane that you found one with 2800 miles though. Jeebus.
Enjoy it!

Awesome, congrats!

Welcome back. I have a supercharged AP1 as well. These things are such a pleasure to work on :)
