My view on mods are they kind of have to be in keeping with the original. Same manufacturer so a later Skyline or Z car???

if you wanna come in here, and Troll a member for pages. you are going to need to back yourself up.

My Kenmeri would run:

R32 or S13 front end. R32 rear. (independant rear/lsd) - engine would be a RB25, with a small Ball bearing turbo. as power would be limited to 400hp. but close to N/A response.
with a twin plate clutch, self made Brake kit (project Mu kit? made to fit) , Coilovers made to order. and all supporting mods to make it feel "crisp". - just the custom made parts would warp your mind.

if you have an issue with a member, sort it out. because on here? I will be quick to correct your mechanical grammar. and am trying to be welcoming.

Had a dilemma today. My son is 2. And I am hoping to help him collect a "Car Museum". To enjoy when he grows up. Also to learn about the classics.

Yesterday I gave him a GC8 :

After playing with the toy car over dinner. And staring at it for a while, when I get him out of the car. First thing he did was walk around the front. And says "dadabcjdjvjddhrrtaaaa". Pointing at the Subie.
inlove.gif
then runs around to the legacy. And shakes his head. When I put him into bed. He put the GC8 on the table carefully. Then went to sleep.

This is his current collection.

the keen eyed among you will note that he has a :
GC8 22-B
Kenmeri GTR
Mk4 Supra
R34 GTR
R35 GTR. 2008 regular and a -2013? Nismo
Honda NSX
Delorian
Honda S2000
BMW I8
Fat Mini.

What cars do you think belong in his Museum? as an education. and to keep on a shelf when he is a grown up? Tell me what you think needs to be in the collection. and i will try to add them. creating the next generation of gearhead.
satisfied.gif
Nice collection! I've loved miniature cars since I was a kid. I still have some of the old Corgi cars (James Bond Aston Martin DB5 with ejector seat, machine guns, and wheel spinners, Batmobile, and 007 Lotus Esprit Submarine), along with other smaller models too. I still buy them today, or my wife will pick them up if she is in a store and see some that she knows I would like. My collection is more heavily focused on European cars "Eurotrash" but with some classic muscle cars or Japanese cars that I like, such as the Mercury Cougar and Pontiac GTO from the 60's and 70s, or the Datsun 240Z.

Wouldn't it be funny, if your son's first car related words were Porsche and Ferrari
wink.gif

Anyway, a few items I might add (from recent collections) if I were you and looking to diversify, might be the Datsun 510, BMW 2002. Aston Martin DB5, Lotus Esprit, Porsche 997GT3 RS, 993 GT2, Ferrari 512M, Lamborghini Huracan, Lotus Elise/Exige, Maserati Quattroporte, and maybe a Delorean that isn't the Back to the Future version. Beyond those, I'd have to check and see what I've added recently but may have forgotten. Cheers and have fun!

That's fine and it sounds like an interesting car, I'm not really familiar with imported Nissans (they are pretty rare where I live), I have read a nice article on that old GTR and thought it was a nice car.

I did watch Colin McRae 's Subaru during its winning outing on the 95 WRC as they came through Yorkshire a long time ago.

Thanks for the welcome :)

Aston Martin DB5 with ejector seat! I remember my friend lending me his prized copy for the night, only for me to accidentally eject the little man while walking in the park outside at night. The search for that little piece took my entire family three hours in darkness

Great story...and I've been there, done that

. I still have 1 of the men that gets launched from the ejector seat sitting in the car at home. Corgi's were really nice little toys back in the day. Opening hoods, trunks, doors, or other features like pop up headlights that could be raised or lowered. I have a bunch of these at home the AM DB5, 007 Lotus Esprit Submarine car, Rolls Corniche, Jag XJS, MB 350SL, Fiat X19, Porsche 924 police car, Ferrari 308GTS. When I was a kid the cars were made in England, but sadly the company folded or sold out. The name was revived, and in the 90's and 2000s they made some later Bond film associated cars,...but they are now I believe made in China and the quality is not what it once was.

Yep Colin was pretty young and wild but amazing car control :)

I've seen his dad Jimmy drive all kinds of cool old rally cars growing up in the cold wet North of England.

Take a look at the 2017 WRC cars next week in Monte Carlo on TV, they are pretty close to the old group B spec from the mid 80s :)

new Gen are loud, can attest to that.

(part of a 2015 ARPC build team)

@6:40 and 12:08 dat Subaru? I installed the suspension. and the interior. also painted the inner wheel arches and underbody. oh, and removed the engine, part of the team to install a new block. later walked, told the boss to go f**k himself. quality or nothing. the car failed at every try. not because of the lead tech. who was the smartest mech i have ever met (genius). but because of budget over build. still got beef with the boss. we will sort it out. my Subaru vs his Ferrari on tarmac. he is my nemesis. personal is an understatement. i had to go home to my wife, and tell her i let her down. and that deserves a race. there is the core of my beef with "eurotrash". walking in the front door with my toolbox. eyes wet with shame, wife disappointed. infant son has no idea. Dad let him down.

It's a hurt i can't describe. dealt by another. i will have my vengeance. at the race track.
Don't worry, i will see them in person.

Thanks, i want him to be a Doctor. but understand that a car is the closest thing to a living animal that exists.it only needs a soul to pilot it.

So you just basically called cars viruses.

TV Jr's Collection needs more Eurotrash

I understand your annoyance with piob, but honestly this thread is no place for that shenanigans. Glad to see you're actually going to start contributing instead of just trolling. With the latter, you end up irking quite a few people that have nothing to do with your little spat.

Looking forward to more posts from you. The list of cars was a pretty cool mixed bag, except that all of you forgot to add in the miata.
