My company is going back to 5 days mandatory in office so I have been doing a lot of commuting lately. Today is one of the days where I am glad I have just written off the Outback and don't mind what happens to it. A semi had a tire explode causing all sorts of debris to scatter and hit cars. In the OB, I didn't mind but if we end up getting something nicer as a next family hauler, it will be hard when stuff like that happens.

Also, if we end up with a new family hauler soon, it could be my oldest sons first car. It then makes me question cars we end up getting....a first car as an older Macan? No thanks.

Clearly you need to get a Porsche GT3 Touring or a Volvo XC

A Macan would be an excellent first car. It looks nice, is “premium” but is also pretty much a sports car. And then the rear seats fold flat so active kids can haul a lot of gear and/or use the space as the stabbin’ wagon.

Mercedes built something similar 4 years back:

I doubt the Audi one will see the light of day too.

Way too many German cars in this thread. Here is my perfect two car solution😘…looking to add a spider to the lineup.
A bit masochistic for me, but hard to argue with it.

Wouldn't a Ford Lightening do the same?

Also, long drives? What's the range on these?

**** her
“Since the vehicle is technically for my business, it needed to be big enough for a specific tax code. The Cybertruck was the only one that fit the bill.”

Bullshit. The tax incentives on a cybertruck don’t make it cheaper than the model 3 she was leasing before. She’s spending more money to drive it, she didn’t “need” it.

Yeah, 100% she bought that for the attention and now is getting negative attention so she has buyer's remorse.

There is a weight limit that qualifies a vehicle as a work vehicle, she meant cybertruck is a the only Tesla that met that limit.

Still f her though.

The fact that a psychologist can get a special tax break for her business by buying a heavy truck is an indictment on our tax policy.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
