Can Suit Shoulder Width Be Reduced Through Alterations?

I apologize for bringing this thread up again, but does the same apply to unconstructed blazers? I've lost about 40lbs and there are some boglioli's in my closet that I really don't want to let go. I was between a 44 and 42 now I wear size 40. Can alterations be done? Thank you

That doesn't sound like a very risky operation. Worth giving a try.

Possibly - only a tailor will know for sure once he sees it

Ralph Lauren once did it for me for $40. I was surprised at how cheap it was, but I didn't argue. It came out well other than the fact they forgot a pin IN the shoulder... so I had to take it back to be taken out.

Got several done for ~$70 per jacket. SF Bay Area.

Not at the neighborhood dry cleaner type of joint.
Hello! I'm looking for a good tailor to remove or reduce shoulder pads in the SF Bay Area and was wondering if you had any recommendations.
