What happens when PayPal decides a case in your favor?

Guy buys a shirt.
Literally 2 minutes later he messages me saying it was a mistake and he wants to cancel the order.

I wait a day to cancel because in my mind im thinking "fuk this idiot"...
...when I go to cancel the transaction, eBay informs me that I cant cancel because there is a paypal case involving this transaction.
Evidently, he opened a case right when he asked for the cancel (I had no idea).

I msg him saying my hands are tied because of the case...and he writes back saying I can send the money via paypal to end the case.

I take a look at my paypal and see they already sided on my side.

Does that mean he already has the money from paypal and he's looking to double dip?

I would assume that means you have the money. Call EBay to be sure, but I think cancelling the sale is okay to do.

Does anyone know how the buyer was able to pay a lower shipping rate than the listing offered? I do calculated shipping, and have for almost the entire time I've been selling on Ebay. Somehow, this buyer was able to get a rate $1.70 lower than the cost. Or did Ebay's shipping service screw me over and give me the 3 pound rate for this 2 pound package?

This happens to me from time to time as well, could never figure out how or why. The weight is always on point but the dollar amount is off by almost
$2

Haven’t been on the thread much this past year. Is there really no recourse when a buyer claims “item not as described”? I just had to accept a return for a 3.5” wide tie that the buyer complained is not “skinny”. I didn’t ******* describe it as skinny. And the completely useless eBay customer service rep basically said it’s a cost of business because they want to compete with Amazon. Great, shift your shipping costs over to the sellers so you can pretend to be kind of like a trillion dollar company.

Anyway, /rant. Just wanted to see if there’s been word about eBay reversing this insanely stupid policy.

Tell him it will look skinny in contrast to his thick head.
