Second... I have a rare find, a skinny (2 1/4") unlined Hermes. I have never seen one, it seems real to me (great build quality and silk), has anyone ever seen one? I cant imagine who would fake such a thing.

Here are some pics of it... help welcome.

I wont claim to be the resident expert but any Hermes tie I ever saw had a line over the second E and I cant see one on this tie.

Finally grabbed a couple cheap clamp lights from Home Depot with some 500k 120w bulbs. Playing with angles and such trying to get rid of shadows. Hoping the improved pictures will help speed my early feedback acquiring days.

Would you consider these pants pleated? They're flat front and the pleats don't go all the way down.

Help ?

I thought the objective for a pleated pant was to decrease wrinkling / rippling of the pant when worn. The pleat is sewn down so this would still be considered as pleated although the silhouette is "flat"

?

I put up some fall stuff this weekend, and one item was bought at the BIN price almost immediately. Upon getting it ready for shipping, I noticed stains along the hem. I still can't believe that I didn't notice them in store or while taking pics.

Since they weren't disclosed in the listing or pics, I canceled the transaction and instructed the buyer that I was very sorry and he should cancel the transaction. This morning, I find that he's denied that request and said thanks for disclosing the stains, but to send the item anyway.

Has anyone had this before? I'm just worried he's going to receive the item, see the stains, return the item, and neg me. Hopefully he won't care about the stains, but I don't have a good feeling about it.

If it were me I would have sent an apologetic email with the truth - you didn't see them until now, and offered to refund him and cancel the transaction if he wanted to. He would have likely appreciated the honesty and not felt like you were trying to skate something by automatically sending the cancel form.

In this case now I would write back confirm he's ok with the stain by attaching a photo, and sending him a 10% refund as compensation without him asking - as he paid that price for a better condition garment. That should solidify buyer trust and in the event of any dispute down the road you made every effort to allow the buyer out of the sale, you have full disclosure, and the photos. You will win a SNAD or buyer remorse case with these steps in place.

It's also just the right thing to do. :)

I have had this happen a few times. I usually let them know about it first and see how they feel about it. I do 24 hour handling so sometimes I need to an answer faster than they can give it to me. A few weeks ago I found two holes on a jacket that has only received a starting bid. I ended up shipping it anyway, refunding their payment and then sending the transaction cancellation request. I told them they could keep it, repair it, trash it or donate it. They left me pos feedback the next day.
