I think i ruined my shoes.. i tried ironing the toe box to restore the shape, have had no problems on other shoes with this, but the heat seems to have burnt the leather on these sweet hender schemes. What to do? Anyone think its possible to lighten the discoloration? Should i try to even out the caramel color over the whole thing? What do you all think? Thanks!

If you’re very lucky, perhaps only the dye/pigment/polish components have discolored and not the leather itself. Since you have nothing to lose at this point, try using acetone or turpentine. This will very like strip out the dye but if it works you can have the shoes recolored.

Hender Schemes aren't dyed. The leather is left natural and meant to patina with time.

OP's shoes started like this. Reversing this process would be like reversing the age on natural leather.

Oh well, looks like a lost cause probably then. Still there are probably components used to keep the leather pliable (waxes etc). Still think there is no harm in trying a solvent at this point though the chance of success is low.
