We'll be up in Boston for Thanksgiving and are looking for a nice dinner. Staying in Back Bay and have had Grill 23 & L'Espalier mentioned in passing - any firsthand experience or alternate recommendations?

Craigie on Main would be my choice if they are open. Though they are located by MIT in Cambridge, it would be an easy cab from Back Bay.

Thnx - looks like they are not open, though....:(

Figures. You might want to look at Eastern Standard in Kenmore which is tied to Hotel Commonwealth. I am sure L'Espalier would not let you down but it is on the formal and pricey side. There's always Bhowie's house.

I'll clear of the empty liquor bottles and put some newspapers down on the vomit stains.

Eastern Standard will be open and it will be fantastic service and good value. L'esp is a great choice as well. I'll put out a blast to my industry friends on who is open for T-day and see what they are doing for menu's etc.

The Eastern Standard drink menu (inclusive of cocktails, beer, and wine)is probably the most well put together and thoughtful list in all of Boston.
