Best Shoe Last for my Feet

I am looking for a shoe last that suits me. I measure 11 B/C on the Brannock but it is surprisingly difficult to fit into narrow shoes. I believe my foot is narrow in the ball but the little fingers must be sticking out.

I have a hand grade shoe on the Crokett & Jones 337 last in UK size 9.5 E, but my fourth and fifth fingers feel cramped. Things are not perfect. As another data point, I also tried Allen Edmonds Park Avenues, and the proper size seems to be 11D, this makes my little fingers happy while the lacing still feels secure. However, coming from hand grade C&Js, Allen Edmonds seems to be a step down.

Based on the above, what shoe manufacturers on par with C&J hand grade offer lasts that may fit me? I am looking for specific suggestion to cut down time trying things that don't fit. Perhaps something from Edward Green would do? One of the styles I want to buy are cap toes.

If you are size 11D in AE PA, you are probably C&J 337 10E, EG 10.5/11E, JL 10E. But you would really need to try them on in person to know if they fits.

And there's always this problem where shoes fits fine in store but hurts like a **** after a day of walking...

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
