Well, even if it's a thread from the crypt... I might as well add my 2 cents

+1 on the Adidas Stan Smiths, but I would also suggest the classic Superstars (shelltoes) and the Adidas Samoa (not Sam_B_a!)... At least here in Germany Sambas are way too common to wear them without looking somehow uninspired...
