I have not been to Lombardi's since probably 2000, but back then I thought it was great.

grimaldis is better than lombardis.

pizza by the slice places are also different from pie joints. for that i like ultimate pizza in midtown east or Joe's if it's fresh.

and margherita pies are separate.

chicago pizza? i had it all...nothing to see here and if that's comparable to the greatest act on earth for you, i advise you to find a new girl cdm.

Arturo's does have good pizza. And they usually have a jazz trio playing - with really excellent musicians. Top notch types who just want to play.. the way jazz should be done.

Been to John's and Patsy's. I liked Patsy's better than John's but I did not think either was as good as it gets. The place I want to try is Totonno's in Brooklyn.

Coal Vines in Dallas has (had) a coal oven and was the best NY style pizza I've had. Don't shoot me, its just my opinion.

DiFara in Midwood has blown my mind away... the love Mr. DiMarco puts into each pizza is nothing short of amazing!

There is a place opening next door to my apartment in a couple week. I am not sure of the name off the top of my head. The owner also owns Degrezia Ristorante on 50/2-3. He is opening a Pizza/Wine Bar and says that his pizza will be authentic Neapolitan pizza. He says it will be better than UPN. Of course he is going to say that, but his restaurant is pretty damn good. Ive got high hopes.
