Flying in some people to LA over christmas... have a **** ton of points or whatever with Hyatt so I can get a suite for them. They have a lot of properties everywhere so which is best located? Is there anywhere that sort of has a neighborhood one could walk around in? I still know **** all about LA. Is that Andaz property they have any good?

Thanks guys.

The Andaz is in the middle of the sunset strip. There isn't much to do there though except drink at the bars and traffic sucks on the weekends. It is cab-able to other destinations. The hotel itself is pretty modern and clean, my cousin got a room there.

If they're tourists they may appreciate this one the most though.

The other option is the Century Plaza. never stayed there but its right by the century city mall. good for christmas shopping and won't have to park.

I'd probably go with Andaz for tourists...at least they can take a cab/bus/etc down to a lot more areas cheaper or even some of the tourist vans. Or do something at night like a comedy club or something.
