Hi, guys. I am interested in their Nelson coat. I am 179 cm, 65 kg, 34"-35" chest (usually XS-S). Would you recommend getting the 44 or 46 size? I plan to wear it over a long-sleeve shirt/sweater

Did you let out the waist on Mod 3? It's waist is smaller compared to Antonio in same size.

Also, does anyone know if Mod 3 "hips measurement" is taken with pleats open?
I measured Mod 3 in size 50 and 52 and I'm convinced that it's with pleats open. Couldn't find the width from size guide with closed pleats by a few cm margin.

In case anyone hasn't noticed: Sale is now 50% off.

Also, need some advice: I'm trying to choose between the flannel trousers and the herringbone wool trousers (not high-twist). I live in atlantic Canada where our weather ranges from hot in the summer (up to 30C) and quite cold in the winter (down to -20C). I'm lacking in warm trousers so I am leaning towards flannel trousers to wear regularly in the cold, but I'm worried they will be too hot for the fall and early spring.
Anyone have experience with both flannel and wool B&B trousers? Should I get the wool ones instead to get more wear out of them?

Thanks in advance!

The fabric looks the same as the grey flannels I have from B&B. It's heavy at 400gsm and you feel it.

If you want warm winter trousers then go for it. That's what they are. But you probably won't be wearing them late spring/early autumn.

You get 3 seasons out of them here in Ireland but you're not going to be reaching for them above 20oC IMO. I took them to Vegas last March and outside of the flight they were just deadweight in my suitcase. Nice and comfy for the plane though!

I live in Spain and I have flannel trousers from them so it seems a no brainer to me that you should also go for them if you don't own many winter trousers.

FIY, I actually wore the flannel trousers until early spring last year so they get plenty of wears.

How do Antonio trousers fit in the crotch/seat area? I have big ass relative to waist and struggle with pants giving me wedgies. Is the back rise long? Anyone can compare to Cavour's Mod 3? I would appreciate some help if someone had similar concerns

I actually bought B&B trousers precisely because they fit me well in those areas you mentioned where most other Italian-made trousers tend to be too tight for me there. I also have a pair from Rota which I can't even wear because of how tight it is around the crotch even though the waist fits.
I don't have a mod 3 for reference though, so maybe that's even roomier, but I do have a mod 2 and it doesn't fit me well.
Out of the 3 B&B trousers I own, I did have to let out the waist about 2cm for the cotton ones, which shrink a bit with washing, while I did not have to do that for the high-twist pair.

I am seriously wondering how you did that. Climate should be pretty similar to Italy, although ofc it will depend on what areas you're in (me, in Rome) and here last year was so warm that I was literally wearing linen trousers to the office in the early days of november. No kidding.
I believe we had a single week of actual winter-like temperatures.
I often joke that high-twist wools are soon going to be 3-season wear in the opposite sense from the common one, i.e. suitable for fall, spring and winter, while even too hot for summer.

Maybe I am easily cold! More seriously, it’s around 18 degrees during the day in March.

And much colder at night.

So still a flannel temperature to me.

I was in Madrid and now live in Barcelona. And I must also add that I love flannel.

Could you maybe measure front and back rise for the Antonio trousers you own? That would help me a ton.

I need my Arthuro Washed Jeans hemmed. From what I can glean online, chain-stitch hemming would be overkill because the jeans aren't raw and—from what I can tell—have lock stitching as is. It does seem like it'd be ideal to get the jeans hemmed with the original hems since there is fading and distressing on them. Is any of this accurate?

What size are you interested in? Size 46 EU has 30 cm front rise and ~42 cm back rise.
Thanks, that's enough for me. 12 cm difference between front and back rise is very slim. Around 15 cm seems to be the stanard for high rise trousers, 17cm is pretty relaxed.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
