Happy 2015, fellas.

On an unrelated note, mate of mine just launched wvnt.co (pronounced 'want'). It's a shopping/wishlisht/pinterest/browsing sort of site. Some might find some similarities to svpply.com (which has been retired).

He's keen on some feedback so feel free to PM/post here.

I've been using it to try and stick to a no-purchase phase for the next couple of months.

Not real clear on the concept of this site. Do people just use it to bookmark stuff they want to buy, or are they selling to one another?

Is it just me or is this the ugliest Pitti yet in terms of blogger's photos of those standing around outside? I saw a guy with playing cards as a pocket square. Even a year ago the #pitti was relatively good, now it's filled with GQ'esque selfies etc. I usually like it because we at least get to see some classically dressed guys, but I haven't seen to much of that at all this time.

So I bought a pair of Supergas this week as Converse / Vans don't sell in half sizes. I ordered the wrong size and will have to return them. No biggie.

Out of curiosity, I had a browse of the US sites and apparently both Vans and Converse stock half sizes, they're just not sold on their websites, Asos, Hype, or Platypus.

It makes me wonder - did these brands make an executive decision that Australian feet don't come in half sizes? Funny they can charge $200+ for some dead stock Lacoste but can't justify ordering in half sizes.

Hope you're all well. Two days ago I made it to base camp and Everest Kalapather. I have never been so cold. I'm on my way back down now. I've gone much faster than my itinerary and cut off a few days. It was so hard to breath at Kalapather. This has been by far the hardest thing I've ever done.

Waiting at home is my TOJ Daypack, B&Tailor Linen Safari jacket, Henry Carter (thanks Jason) tie and a few other parcels, so I have that to look forward to.

As for WIWT, the exact same thing I've worn for the last two weeks.

I will be in Nepal on the 8th February. Should I pack whole heaps of winter jackets?

I'm in LA for a few days starting tomorrow. Any sartorial recco's folks? Unionmade and Uni's are on the list already.

Mucho cheers.

I must admit that I don't know how conveniently (or inconveniently) it is located, but you could always head out to "Shop The Finest". Apparently, Jeff has an absolutely massive amount of stuff, far more than he lists on the StF website or eBay and people have picked up some fantastic bargains.
