Hello mate, and hello everyone. It's been a while, yeah the business was closed a few years ago now but good to hear people are still talking about it occasionally. I don't have much need to come here these days, am now a landscape gardener which was always a passion before and have a thriving little business just out of Canberra. My days are now spent in blundstones, work shorts and t-shirts and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Now I think of it, I have a few nice pairs of Carminas and a few others in boxes that haven't seen a foot in a few years. I might post them up to see if anyone is interested in them. Being a landscaper changes the physique quite a bit and none of them fit me anymore.

Cheers
Jason

For those preppy/ivy/trad people amongst us who may be looking for some nice OCBD (oxford cloth button-down) shirts, Brooks Brothers is having a sale at present. A number of their "Original Polo", made-in-the-USA OCBDs are on sale. Some are reduced from $229 down to $89 but, of course, sizes and other choices are limited.

Made-in-the-USA "Original Polo" OCBD shirts:

I am wearing this one today which is a Thomas Mason cloth made in USA button down. It is the OTR shirt which fits me best apart from MTM so it is really good value at the sale price. I bought it instore and when buying 3 or more items was given an additional discount.

Lightly fused collar which I think suits the cloth which is more formal than casual in that it is very smooth.

I also thought their made in USA was meant to have an unfused collar but maybe just the OCBD ones.

Good work Jason. I've seen a few of your lawns on FB. And I have a tie or two from you.

Do you actually wear Blunnies or other work boots? - I think I see a bit of a decline in Blunnies popularity

I have a few of the "Original Polo" OCBD shirts (ie 16/34) and a few of the sports shirts (ie M, L, XL), both made in the USA.

Both the Original Polo shirts and the sports shirts have unfused and unlined collars. They are very soft, with a good roll.

Interesting that yours seems to have a lightly fused collar. The few made-in-USA Regent sports shirts that I have are all made with unfused and unlined collars - I can gently hold the fabric on either side of the collar and pull it apart with no resistance whatsoever and there does not seem to be anything in between the two pieces of cloth.

I was thinking of getting one of the Zephyr shirts, but neither of the check patterns were quite right for me. As is usually the case, I think that there were more options offered in the US.

How do you guys find the BB OCBD collars look without a tie? I would mostly be wearing them tie-less. I've got a couple Kamakura OCBD and like how the collars sit/spread without a tie
