With buying used shoes, espeically vintage it is always a gamble. You never know how they were cared for over time. A resole is easy, but it is likely going to cost more than the shoe. My advice to you is buy them if you like them and get a good deal, but condiiton them, polish them and wear them a while to see how the uppers are holding up. If the uppers are holding up nicely then get a resole and they will feel brand new.
