Are Paul Stuart's SC shell shoes stamped as such?

No stamp ... but no fine creasing. Have a tendency to create a white film on the vamp. The feel of the leather throws me -- not as textured as my PS calf, but not quite as thick/waxy as my U.S.-made shell. Thoughts?

I'd say shell.

-no fine creasing
-there's also the tell-tale tracks around the stitching that I've only seen on shells

Also, the only pair of PS shell that I have (#8 penny loafer made by Grenson), also does not have any shell cordovan stampings anywhere.

Whatever the material may be, they are beautiful. Surprisingly classic for PS... what does the 'SC' stand for?

They look like shell to me.

I say shell because of the tool marks from the machine rollers at the seams and the gentle rippling at the toe box.

What model are those? Are they discontinued? It looks shell-like at the hinge. Doesn't Manton have black PS captoes?

In that case, definitely NOT shell.

pretty pretty.

Look like shell. I would know for sure after a few minutes of wear, when the creases become just a tad more noticeable. if you want me to "trial wear" them let me know. this service is free.

Not that you need another vote; it definitely looks like shell. Good looking shoe, Doc.

why would this be a sign especially for shell? look at your other leather shoes, you will find those "tool" marks on some and on some not. this is not enough to qualify anything as being shell.

whatsoever, i too think they are shell.
