When I started working in corporate America years ago, I sent and received faxes on a fairly regular basis. However, at this point I literally can't remember the last time that a facsimile transmission crossed my desk; communications and documents are all sent via e-mail. I was recently assigned a new direct fax number, and I haven't even bothered memorizing it, because I don't anticipate having to give it to anyone.

Had one for ages in my office, and it had been always flooded with junk faxes. Finally, replaced the printer and got rid of the fax function for good

We still use them. Faxed results are usually cleaner/crisper than scanned/emailed images (at least, that's my experience).

Yes, I also like the way the waxy fax paper is no longer used.

Suprisingly common in real estate biz still.
Although I tend to scan and email all my contracts.

Yeah, I hate when lawyers correspond via e-mail. Leads to all kinds of bullshit.
