I was recently told that Aquascutum in Montreal (the boutique in the Ogilvy store) is closing. Apparently this was the last "stand alone" Aquascutum boutique left in North America, the Boston store having closed about a year ago. I have searched online for any press on this subject and found none - can anyone help? Aquascutum was bought in the fall by Harold Tillman (owner of Jaeger) and the articles I read said he plans to further expand the brand, so I find these store closures surprising. Perhaps they are going to focus on supplying stores like Saks and Neiman? Any info would be appreciated. I like Aquascutum's stuff.
