ive done tux measurements for 14-15 year olds which were very similar to his dimensions. it isn't unheard of at all. maybe 7-8" drop from overarms to chest, but i could see 10.

i myself am pretty tiny, maybe not that tiny, but depending on the make of suit, a 34 may actually drown me, even in some lines that claim to be more tapered fits.

10" on a guy with a 28" chest?

That same ratio would mean 54" on a 40 chest.

The fact he seems to fit 34 jackets still leaves me thinking the measurements are wrong.

except when you talk about teens or skinny young adults, you're talking about frame. a 40" will be carrying a little more weight and, usually, that weight will be distributed in a typical fashion, whether it be muscle or fat or both. now imagine a 15 year old kid, 5'11", weighs like 120-125lbs. his chest measurement will virtually be his ribcage, but his shoulder frame might actually be significantly wider, AND it's typical for shoulders to carry more muscle on a lot young kids compared to chest.

i'm not saying he isn't wrong, im just saying that that isn't unheard of. im sure tomorrow i could go through old measurement slips and find people with similar numbers.

It just sounds extreme to me.

Come on? Same chest and waist on very thin people is not weird, he could have a narrow upper torso... and in that case, a 10 inch drop from shoulder to chest circumference doesn't sound unlikely.

Do you know any place to get decent quality boys suits (essentially, kids)?

Marks and Spencers do I believe have some in their Autograph range and thereafter what about the up market depaartments stores for RTW. John Lewis or even Harrods? Theerafter save up some money and go to the likes of George who can do MTM c£700.
