Boom! Just had my first phone rendezvous with Ashley! Got some brown shell Strands for about $300 shipped. Now the waiting game. She described everything to me and was a pleasure to deal with. She mentioned they're near First Quality to boot!

I got these cheaper than regular Strands. Wtf?

How’d you get them down to $300?

Greetings, fellow enthusiasts. Another lovely and rare spring day here in the Midwest. Going all out with light blue Tommy Hilfiger chinos, Lands’ End PPBD and fresh from the mother ship Club Monaco milkshake suede Leeds. I think I need to spend a little time spiffing these up. I swear that mark on the toe wasn’t there when I sent them off.

Received a shipment of natty Maritimes and walnut Brooks Presidios today. As to both -- WOW! The Maritimes are AMAZING. I previously vowed never to purchase shoes made in the DR, because I want to support American workers, but the $99 sale convinced me to look past my principles and order a pair LOL. Very, very glad I placed the order. I've owned lots of boat shoes and the Maritimes really compare favorably to the others. The Maritimes are a little more modern, sleeker -- but every bit as comfortable, maybe even MORE comfortable. And the natural CXL looks GREAT on a boat shoe.

Yesterday there was a lot of talk about how the Presidios are a challenging fit. This made me nervous because I wear a 3E. Despite that, I've honestly never had any trouble with sizing, all of my AE's are TTS. Some shoes are a little more snug than others (for example, the Eagle County is a tight fit, all of the other boots are much more forgiving), and some lasts show more gap than others, but I've never felt that anything in my measured size simply does not fit. Well, I received the Presidios today and...they fit perfectly. Very comfortable right out of the box, toes were a little cramped at first but the leather loosened up nicely after about 10 minutes and all was well. My first pair of shoes in Walnut. Honestly I know walnut is fashionable right now but I think a lot of people go overboard with it -- I much prefer brown. IMO it's more versatile you can wear brown with a grey suit, walnut not so much, but brown can be paired with any casual outfit too. That said, I really like the Presidios in walnut, I still prefer brown but this probably won't be my last walnut shoe.
I just pulled the trigger on some walnut Presidios from Ashley, couldn’t resist one more $99 BB shoe! Scored some Aberdeens and suede MacNeils last week and am very pleased with both. Also don’t own any walnut and only a few lighter brown shades and my old Florsheim golden harvest Imperials-also don’t own many loafers so quite excited for this one

Quite possible, but nothing a suede brush/eraser can't handle!

$265 for Indy’s? That’s the cheapest I recall in the last two years.

If you can wear the 201 and are lacking a proper black stitch cap, and you don’t grab you a Hopkinson, then there’s no hope for you. You are without excuses.
Also,Ashley mentioned that shell Daltons were $365!
