Viccel's dark color socks are indanthren dyed which has the highest fastness. No matter how many times they washed they will keep their colors.
Blacks will be black.

Gold Toe use to have 100% cotton over the calf socks and for years they were the only socks I wore. For some reason they stopped and now make only stretch socks which are no good for me - they make my feet sweat uncomfortably and they wear out fast - I take a size 14 and after only a few wearings there is a hole in the sock toe. If anybody knows some other manufacturer of cotton over the calf socks in size 14 I'd appreciate laearning about it.

You don't have to keep pushing people to buy your socks. I understand that you want business but if your socks is really good people will start giving recommendations on their own.

Recently received socks in Canada from Viccel less than 10 days after ordering. I must say that they are much better than expected. They are among the most comfortable I have worn, especially around the upper calf. The Cotton is very fine and silky smooth. If you are looking for a fine cotton OTC dress sock in solid colours, they are hard to beat. If anyone has thought about ordering, but is still on edge, I would highly recommend ordering a pair or two to try. If you follow the link from the owner's signature you will get 20% off, and if you order 6 of the same type you get an extra 5% off on top of the SF.

My only complaints at the moment are that they do not have any patterned socks, and that there is no version which features a warmer material. The sock is great for spring through fall, but since it is made of a very fine cotton I think it will be a little cold in the winter. I have been told that a version made of thicker cotton along with various patterns are coming in the future to correct these problems.

As for durability, time will be the true test, but from my initial impression they seem to be well made, and feature reinforcements at the heel and toe.

Some people praise Talbott OTCs but I actually hate their wool stuff. It feels like sandpaper and extremely uncomfortable to wear after 1-2 hours. Most other brands' wool socks are 10 times softer than Talbott stuff.

I cant give any date for patterned socks but thicker socks are getting ready.

Heartily second the Pantherella from Sierra Trading Post recommendation. Almost all of my socks for business wear are from there. Stick to the wool ones.
