yes i'm sorry. i did not mean to dismiss the idea entirely. alternatively, i think it would be educational to seek out opportunities and learn by myself before asking for help.

edit: if not finance/consulting i may as well get into actuarial science w/ my 2 degrees. become an actuary.

The boat for IB/HF/PE sailed 5 years ago when he went to Michigan St. At this stage of the game, I'd be focusing on getting an interesting job that pays a living wage and positioning myself for B-school.

That's a bit harsh, but not totally false. Top finance grads at MSU can swing an analyst position at a BB with some luck. But that's for those at the very top.

Regardless, the point remains that the ship has indeed sailed for everything related to high finance. Look elsewhere.
