I don’t think you can really compare S&M to those other stores, though. 2 very different things. In my experience, the clothing probably does run “small/trimmer” than most places.

I would maybe try 11.5D. Van last is usually taken in same size as TB and Barrie, but boots fit differently than loafers. These are notoriously hard to fit, though, so might take a couple of tries in a physical store.

I would say mid grey goes with more than majority of browns, especially for summer. I also find that high twist/fresco usually looks better in grey than brown

Pirozzi, right? Looks great, especially the DB.

I don’t put extra stuff on mine and wear my suede pretty hard by most standards. I haven’t had issues and have been caught in the rains couple of times, with no staining or anything. However, it probably couldn’t hurt if you’re worried about it.

Cf Stead makes their suede I believe

Unfunded Liabilities: a/k/a The Cloth Thread

Yeah not arguing was just pointing out that the Liverano garment probably isn’t a good representation of the Armourys pricing

It’s only the Liverano RTW that’s that expensive. I don’t think anything else they offer for a S.C. are even close to that. I could also be wrong

Agreed. 99% of people don’t have a clue what you’re wearing. Wear what you like

Looks great. Clip those vents and let her rip

I would say that the fabric is a little richer than it looks. Not quite a dark navy.

Dugdale has quite a few options

I think they both work for you, but I personally just like the Florentine cut more in general. I think the little bit of shoulder extension and chest drape goes a long way.

Plaza hugs my instep better than Hampton, with a slightly longer and narrower toe box, for my feet. Hampton has a much roomier instep. I would say both fit pretty much the same in the ball and heel, no noticeable difference there. Hampton is a good fit, but plaza is excellent for my low instep...

I would go heavier than that… that’s going to wrinkle heavily

I think you’re overthinking this. The cloth looks great and that is a classic pattern. I actually would pick a different button though, don’t really love those options. That part is totally up you, though

Nothing better than color 8 and navy.

Did you ever try the Minnis mohair/Fresco? I seem to remember you asking about that cloth.

It always kind of seems like an oxymoron to me. The colors can be really interesting, but the original Solaro from Smith Woolens is like a 13 oz suit that is supposed to be worn in the warmer months. Doesn’t make a lot of sense.
