Just about 10 months of wear. I recently got new heels on my other two pairs. This will be the last to go in as I probably wear it the least though not by a large margin

There's no real right or wrong way to wear your denim. Just go with what you think looks good on you and helps you feel confident and happy. If it were me I would go with a larger cuff or get them hemmed, but that does not mean my current preferences are any better than yours. If you are...

I also do not have any heel slip with Grant Stone. There is definitely a bit of room side to side compared to some other lasts/brands, but I wouldn't say it affects how their boots fit for me. I can see how that aspect might potentially be less ideal for loafers.

Personally I have a hard time saying anything negative about Grant Stone for the wider heels. May help the lasts accomodate that many more people. I do agree that the heels are probably wider than Trickers, C&J, and Alden (minus Trubalance) in my experience. I do not recall with the differences...

I do find the Leo heel quite roomy, yes. I don't find it a problem with boots due to the lacing and height, but if we were talking about bluchers or longwings on the Leo last I would agree that while they do work there are likely better fits out there. I will take a look at Carmina sometime. I...

Yea. I imagine an insole could help some people. I did try a few, but they admittedly were not of the leather variety. Insoles I find have positives and negative for slip ons. The instep could fit better but my heel will also be that much closer to sliding out with an insole. Perhaps I will give...

9.5D. Low volume, low instep, low arches, pronating feet. My preference may be for a more snug fit as well. I am sure some people are perfectly content with fairly loose loafers. I don't like loafers that feel like I can walk right out of them if I don't walk in a particularly careful manner.

I wish loafers fit me. I love both Grant Stone and Rancourt loafers, but they are so loose I could slide right out of them even with multiple tonguepads stacked. Think my feet just aren't very loafer friendly unless it's the perfect last and design (or bespoke)

Did you try many other brands before Grant Stone? I think it is certainly fair to feel let down because we all have our own evolving standards and experiences. it's just that most of us have had very good experiences with Grant Stone. Personally, I would not have kept the Badalassi pair...

Basic non-shell Alden is $650-700+ these days. To say that Grant Stone isn't worth it anymore is a bit misleading. It is true that you can get Allen Emonds on sale for less than Grant Stone and that some Truman models are around the same price. Red Wings are $50 cheaper where as maybe 3 years...

It is 2 widths difference. Grant Stone just doesn't offer EE currently. As for the picture is is difficult to draw too much from it. You could measure both if you'd like. Would be interesting to hear about. But we also need to factor in that sometimes there will be variance in width of the welt...

Along with being larger all around I believe the Badalassi saddle tan may stretch a little while the waxy commander will not. I could be wrong, but I find things like CXL, Badalassi cowhide, etc to have some stretch/give to them that that things like calf skin do not. I am not sure whether waxy...

Interesting. I had a different experience. I've tried 9D and 8EEE. I found that the quarters were basically fully closed on the 8EEE while I do have some space on the 9D. I have also tried 9.5D where they were almost fully closed as well. Curious about 8.5E, but I am happy enough with 9D that I...

I always felt the Leo last heel felt notably wider than an Alden Barrie heel in the same size. I don't personally find this to be an issue for my bony narrow heels, but it is a difference.

This pair looks great. If your daughter is that into these boots I would definitely recommend adding another pair or two sooner than later. I know many people here have a dozen pairs or more, but having 2 or 3 to rotate or better coordinate with certain outfits can go a long way for longevity

Black waxy commander Edward. Haven’t posted this for a bit. They have the most worn down heels because I wore them the most. Trying to even things out a bit o_O

Black and Dune Diesel boots from yesterday and today. Despite having similar breaks on the left boot I feel like my black pair always looks worse in photographs. Either way I love both pairs. The Dune pair shows a lot of patina. Looking forward to the black CXL to eventually have some brown...

It's usually going to be a little to the left or right. Same would happen if you got the equivalent boots from Alden. No one would notice besides you when you're examining them closely.

That is fair. The 4497 toebox is a little short albeit quite wide and round.

Hard to say as typically someone who wears 8.5 on the Parkhurst 602/602M last would wear 8UK on the Tricker's 4497 last. Depending on your width my best guess is 8.5D or 8.5E, but it is best to talk to Grant Stone cs.
